GR Catering has served as a primary caterer for the Mission Trails Regional Park (MTRP) Foundation for the past two years. Whether it has been working with the Patrick Henry High School Spirit of 76 Band Boosters for a fund raising event at the Mission Trails Visitor Center, serving breakfast on the MTRP Terrace for 135 members of the East County Chamber of Commerce in July, or providing outstanding cuisine for the MTRP Foundation’s annual Holiday Party on December 4, for over 100 of the park’s key volunteers and donors, GR Catering always delivers. We had an Engagement Party for our daughter and hired Gourmet Rotisserie Catering for the event. They were fantastic! The wedding is taking place at a resort 40 miles south of La Paz so we wanted to get the mood going by having Mexican food; glad we did! The tortillas tasted home made, the presentation was beautiful (Mexican/Tropical), the staff was extremely nice & helpful and the food was prepared on site and delicious. We have some vegetarians in the group so they made  tofu and vegetable fajitas along with  chicken and veggie fajitas. This was done on site in a free standing wok; really added a nice touch to the party with the smell making everyone hungry! We also had cheese enchiladas and a wonderful green salad with pine nuts, feta, cranberries with two homemade dressings to choose from. The guacamole they made was the real deal with no fillers. Everything turn out perfect. So, if you are planning a party and like freshly cooked food (not re-heated)  I highly recommend this company. I also found their cost to be very reasonable. Much thanks to Marty, Gaby and the great staff of Gourmet Rotisserie Catering in helping make my daughter’s Engagement Part a smashing success!

Words alone cannot express our debt of gratitude for the amazing job you did for our daughter’s wedding! Everything about your business was exceptional! The service was impeccable, the display amazing, and most important, the food was superb! So many guests came up to us wondering who the caterer was? After having reviewed several caterers, we found ourselves tired of hearing the same old things. They would promise to fix about anything we wanted, but, the cooking would be done in their kitchens, and later transported in warming dishes to the venue site. We were so tired of tasting food that tasted like it was warmed up. I did not want to serve my guests food anybody could reheat in a microwave. Therefore, when we came across GR Catering, and learned all of the food is prepared fresh at the venue site, we knew our search was finally over! What we didn’t know, was while the food was cooking, it would smell so exceptional and lead our guests to the verge of salivating.

If ever we need a caterer in the future, it is comforting to know we will not have to go to the lengths of research as we have in the past. Man I’ve been pooped with all we were doing for the party lately and so I forgot to write you a thank you for your and Martys fabulous participation in our event. We are still accepting compliments for everything regarding the party. I myself loved the displays and the shrimp. I never had time for a sandwich but my husband enjoyed a couple. Your staff was on the wonderful side, nice job in selecting warm persons. I asked the shrimp girl to visit my husband and pointed him out and she was so friendly about it. Funny he had just told me don’t get me a couple more get me a bucket full and within minutes the shrimp girl rounded the corner with a full / hot tray of shrimp. (Perfect timing) It seemed they were constantly making their rounds and with a smile. The designing and decorating role you suggested, the linens and everything was spectacular. After meeting with numerous catering companies for our wedding, we decided to go with Gourmet Rotisserie Catering because they were very personable, professional, and had great reviews. We are soooo happy that we did because they went above and beyond with their services and did an exceptional job! We needed a bar last minute and they went out of their way to rent one for us and then brought it to the venue and set it up for our bartender. We had an amazing experience with GR catering recently for our wedding.  Gaby and Marty were great to work with through each step of the way leading up to the event and made everything very easy for us in preparation of our wedding. We had a wonderful experience with GR Catering for my husband’s 50th birthday Laua party – we had about 95 people and and the event was perfect ! This party was a last minute plan, I was unsure of the head count until the day before and Gaby and Marty pulled it off wonderfully.  They checked out our location a few days before the party, helped me figure out the best location in the yard for the food set up and arrived on time and ready when scheduled.  They brought great decorations – we had a 50th Tiki Torch Birthday themed event – and they dressed the table and stations elegantly. The on site grill was quite impressive and the guest felt that we had gone all out!  Marty helped design our menu of Kalaua Roasted Pork, Rotisserie Chicken, Island style rice, Hawaiian cole slaw, fresh fruit, rolls and vegetarian egg rolls – a perfect menu for the event.  Overall, our guest enjoyed the food tremendously, we heard rave review on the catering especially the Kalaua Pork and Rotisserie Chicken  (several guest said it was better than Phil’s BBQ) we had plenty for all and it was perfect. Marty and Gaby are very customer focused. I was 4 weeks from my wedding and I feel very lucky to find them. They were professional and very responsive. I immediately did not feel as stressed because they gave me a quick quote and assured me they could do the job. Then i went for a tasting and was very impressed. I had a surprise party catered by GR Catering and it was perfect! I originally planned to pick up the food and bring it to the event myself but at the last minute I requested that they drop it off for me. The extra expense was minimal and well worth it since Marty and another employee set up everything for me. The food was delicious and there was more then eniugh for everyone! We used GR Catering for our September wedding.  From the beginning Marty and Gaby were great to work with.  Emails and phone calls were responded to in a timely manner and Marty was always very cordial.  He recommended we do a ‘vendor pow-wow’ so he could meet all of our vendors before the wedding and get everyone on the same page as far as set up, events throughout the night, and timeline.  It was such a great recommendation that I would pass on to anyone who does not have a wedding planner!!  As with any wedding, we had a lot of changes/additions etc to our invoice throughout the process. I would have a corrected invoice with my requested changes in my hands typically within 1-2 days.The day before the wedding I was slammed with things to do so I asked if I could deliver the beer/wine that we had purchased, to Marty’s store front and have him delivery it to the venue with the rest of our food.  Marty doesn’t normally do this but went out of his way (I imagine he could hear the desperation in my voice). This way we didn’t have to ask a friend to do it the day of, or have to do it ourselves.  This took a huge weight off all of our shoulders.On our wedding day Marty made very sure my husband and I had food and drinks in our hand as soon as the ceremony ended and it was time to take photos.  He worked his butt off! The buffet set up looked great and our tables were simple but beautifully decorated as I had requested.  I even changed one of my colors from apple green to yellow at the last minute and trusted that Marty would pull through without my seeing the linen color.  It looked awesome.The food was very good.  We went with a Hawaiian theme and had pork, chicken, fish, Hawaiian macaroni salad, tropical salad, and Hawaiian rolls.  We were very happy with the food and heard from our guests the same!  I didn’t get to try the desserts as we had a cake just for my husband and I but from what I hear, it was a hit.I was very happy with GR.  Our wedding day went off without a hitch (many said it was the best wedding they had been to!!).  I would definitely use them again and recommend them for a wedding or other big event.  Marty’s patience and calm demeanor in addition to his solid recommendations made him very valuable to us.  Speaking of value, their overall prices were affordable!
